I live in Israel with my husband, teenage son and daughter and 3 cats. I have lived here for the last 10 years, and I love it.
I was born in London,UK and have also lived in New York and Moscow.
I trained as a dentist, but didn't really work much in the field - I travelled too much, and prefer crafting!
7 years ago, at the age of 35, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I went through all the terrible treatment, came out the other side, and was doing very well - even took part in 5 triathlons!
But a year ago, I started experiencing terrible lower back pain, which was misdiagnosed by the hospital as herniated discs. It was only finally in April of this year(2008) that I discovered that my breast cancer had spread to my bones and a couple of lymph nodes. I had some radiation, and then started weekly chemotherapy in May. I have to endure this for at least a year. So far I am responding quite well to the
treatment.
So I envision this blog as a place to record my progress. Maybe it will help someone else who is going through a similar experience. Maybe it will help me to deal with my fate. We shall see.
